Specialized Services Offered

We offer a range of therapies for children, adolescents, and adults designed to support your individualized treatment needs.

Somatic Therapy
Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy

Somatic approaches support the body’s natural ability to move out of ‘stuck’ stress responses, instead of staying locked in chronic nervous system patterns. This approach includes gentle vagus nerve stimulation, awareness and tracking of body sensations, and mindful physical movement. It focuses on gently releasing traumatic energy stored in the nervous system by working in small, manageable steps (titration) and supporting the body’s natural capacity for regulation.

EMDR uses gentle bilateral stimulation (eye movements, sounds, or taps), alternating between the left and right sides of your body, to help your brain reorganize painful, unprocessed memories so they feel less distressing over time. Sometimes the brain becomes overwhelmed and a traumatic experience feels ‘frozen,’ with images, thoughts, and feelings stored in the nervous system. EMDR gently ‘unlocks’ these stuck memories and supports your natural ability to heal, so you can move forward feeling less triggered or overwhelmed by your past.

Art Therapy

Art therapy can help clients express words or stories that may feel“unspeakable” using pencils, markers, paint or any unlimited amount of materials they can find. A sense of control and mastery is given back to the client when they are in charge of how their story and emotions are expressed. And no, you don’t have to be artistic, artsy, or crafty to participate. All that is needed is an open mind.

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)

DBT is a structured and evidence-based therapy that can teaches us how to cope with life stressors, manage intense emotions, and improve our relationships. DBT engages in four skill areas: mindfulness, distress tolerance with acceptance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness.
